Finding your size

Compare your own chest, waist and hip measurements with the size table, which gives the garment's measurements in cm. For a layer worn over a fleece or a base layer, choose a chest 4 to 6 cm (1½–2½″) above your own.

One sheet, three uses

  • Poncho: a roomy cut with a hood that closes with a drawcord and toggle.
  • Tarp: corner grommets take pegs and guylines for a simple rain shelter.
  • Ground sheet: spread flat under a sleeping mat or a picnic.
  • Snap sides: press snaps along the edges close it into a poncho and open it into a sheet.
  • Taped seams: the seams are covered with tape on the inside.
  • Chest pocket option: two of the four versions have a pocket on the front.

The fabric is PU-coated with a 3,000 mm water rating and the poncho weighs about 250 g (both supplier-stated). It is water-resistant rather than breathable: open the sides on warm climbs to let air in. One size fits most adults and leaves room for a daypack underneath.

Rinse off mud with cold water, let it dry open before you pack it away, and keep it away from heat.

Frequently asked questions

Will it cover my backpack? It is cut loose enough for a daypack underneath; a large trekking pack may lift the back hem.

How do I pitch it as a tarp? Open the snaps, lay it flat and peg the corner grommets, then raise one edge on a line or trekking pole. Pegs and cord are not included.
