Setting the length

On flat ground, set the pole so your elbow bends at about 90 degrees with the tip beside your foot. Shorten it by 5 to 10 cm (2–4″) for climbs and lengthen it by the same for descents.

Folds small, locks fast

  • Folding: the lower sections join on an internal cord and click together with a push button.
  • Length: an external flick lock sets the carbon upper shaft anywhere in its range.
  • Shafts: a carbon fibre upper tube and aluminium lower sections.
  • Grip: a foam grip with an adjustable wrist strap.
  • Tips: a rubber tip cap over the metal tip, and a small basket.

Which length should I choose? S fits walkers about 150 to 170 cm tall, M about 170 to 190 cm. On flat ground your elbow should be bent at about 90 degrees.

How do I fold it? Open the flick lock, push the button, slide the upper shaft in and pull the lower sections apart to fold them along the cord.

Should I use the rubber tip? Use it on tarmac and rock slabs; take it off on soft ground, mud and snow for more grip.
