Carabiner handle: a spring-gate carabiner fixed to the cup by two rivets, which doubles as the handle.

Hang to dry: clip it upside down on a line after washing up.

The carabiner is for carrying the mug, not for climbing or for holding any weight. Metal carries heat, so let very hot drinks cool for a moment before you hold the rim. It is not for use on a stove or in the microwave.

Can I heat water in it on a stove? No. It is a drinking mug; heat water in a pot or kettle and pour it in.

Will the carabiner stay closed on a strap? Yes, the spring gate closes on its own; press it open to clip or unclip the mug.
