Choosing a size

As a rule of thumb, a day hike needs 15 to 30 litres, a night or two away 30 to 50 litres, and a longer trip 50 litres or more. Measure your back from the bony point at the base of the neck down to the top of the hip bones and compare it with the pack's back length where it is given.

  • Slide top: a rail slides off the top so the bladder opens across its full width.
  • Tube: a 95 cm drinking tube with a bite valve and a dust cap on a strap.
  • Connector: a push-button connector unclips the tube for filling.
  • Hanging tab: the top rail has a slot to hang it in the pack's sleeve.
  • Four capacities: 1, 1.5, 2 and 3 litres.

Check that your pack has a hydration sleeve or a tall inner pocket big enough for the size you choose. Rinse and dry it after each trip so the tube stays fresh.

Rinse with warm water after use, open the slide top fully and let the bladder and tube dry completely before storing.
