Choosing a size

A throw for the sofa is usually about 130 × 170 cm (51 × 67″); to cover a double bed, choose at least 200 × 220 cm (79 × 87″). Check the care line before washing: thick plush and knitted throws often need a gentle cycle and a low tumble-dry setting, or none.

Shake off sand and crumbs, then machine wash on a gentle cycle. Dry it fully before folding it away.

Will it keep me dry on wet grass? The Oxford backing resists damp ground. It is not built for sitting in puddles.
