Choosing a size
As a rule of thumb, a day hike needs 15 to 30 litres, a night or two away 30 to 50 litres, and a longer trip 50 litres or more. Measure your back from the bony point at the base of the neck down to the top of the hip bones and compare it with the pack's back length where it is given.
Water within reach, hands free
- Water bladder: 3 L, filled through a wide screw cap and closed with a flip lid.
- Drinking tube: runs from the top of the pack to a bite valve with a dust cover.
- Straps: padded shoulder straps with side buckles to adjust, and a chest strap.
- Fixings: four D-rings and a webbing loop on the front for small kit.
- Grab loop: a webbing loop on top to hang it up or carry it.
It is a water carrier, not a daypack: the main compartment holds the bladder, with no room for a jacket or lunch. Rinse and dry the bladder after every trip.

Care and cleaning
Empty the bladder after use, rinse it and the tube with warm water, and leave it open to dry fully. Wipe the pack with a damp cloth; no machine washing.

Is the bladder included? Yes. The 3 L bladder, its tube and the bite valve come with the pack.
Can it go under a bigger rucksack? No. It is worn on its own, as a light pack for water on runs, rides and short walks.
