Choosing a tent
A tent's sleeps figure assumes people lying side by side with no gear inside; for room to keep packs dry, choose one person more. The water column in millimetres says how much water pressure the fabric resists and is the supplier's figure. Dry the tent fully before you store it.
Sand in the legs, shade overhead
- Sand-pocket legs: Each corner ends in a pocket you fill with sand, which holds the canopy down.

What's in the box

Assembly
Lay the canopy out and fill the four leg pockets with sand. Push the two poles together and stand them under the ball sockets in the canopy. On grass, peg the legs instead of filling them.
Care and cleaning
Empty the sand from the leg pockets and shake the canopy out. Rinse off salt water and let it dry before packing it away.
