Carabiner Compass Keychain for Backpacks

A carabiner keychain with a small compass in its base, to clip onto a rucksack strap, a belt loop or a set of keys.

Use: Rough direction on walks; clipping keys and small kit to a bag
Pieces: 1 carabiner compass

Before you rely on it

Practise with a compass and a map on a known route before you need them, and keep the compass away from phones, magnets and metal while taking a bearing. Check a first aid kit before each trip and replace what has been used or is past its date.

A compass that clips on

Built-in compass: The dial shows the four cardinal points and the points between them, with a green north arrow.
Spring gate: Push the gate to clip onto a strap, loop, zip pull or key ring.
Bright colours: Purple, black, green, yellow, orange, red or blue, easy to find in a bag.
Thermometer version: The second black version has a small thermometer along one side.
Light to carry: Small enough to forget it is on your pack until you need it.

This is a key-ring compass for rough direction, not a sighting compass for navigating by bearings. The clip is for keys and small kit, never for climbing or carrying loads.
